New York and London Launches for North East Research Firm-Friday 07th of July 2006 10:41:36

Acritas, one of the UK’s leading business research consultancies based in the North East, has opened two new offices as part of the company’s continued growth.

The new locations in London and New York will help Acritas to almost double in size in 2006 and will see the business take on more staff to cope with growing demand.

Acritas, which provides a range of research services to the professional and financial services sectors, was established in 2002 by Lisa Hart and currently employs twenty members of staff. Plans are in place to create around five new jobs over the next twelve months.

The London office, which is located in the heart of the City at No. 1 Poultry, will deal with Acritas’s growing London-based clients such as insurance company Amlin and patent and trade mark attorneys Marks and Clerk.

Acritas’s New York office has opened on Park Avenue in Manhattan following an extensive amount of market research to evaluate the number of opportunities available to Acritas in America.

Lisa Hart, managing director of Acritas, commented: “The opening of both the London and New York offices are significant developments for Acritas as we continue to grow globally thanks to our international client base.

“The London office was an absolute necessity to cope with our large number of clients who are themselves located in the City and also to accommodate our London-based employees.”

Speaking about the launch of the business in the USA, Lisa added: “We spent considerable time researching the US market and attending a number of high profile conferences to asses the need for a professional and financial services research specialist like Acritas.

“Large corporations are now shopping globally for the provision of specialist services, such as ours, and we have been working on a number of US-based projects for some time. Hence we launched our New York office, which will not only work for American businesses but will also help UK clients to launch or grow their operations in the US.”

Acritas is now working on a number of projects for professional service and financial companies in Bermuda and New York.
