Gardens Go Out With the New and in with the Old-Friday 07th of July 2006 10:50:46Since the start of the warm weather Simply Dutch in North Yorkshire has seen a major increase in demand for its range of antique garden furniture. Their recent sales show that the popularity of modern, plastic and wooden furniture is decreasing as people are now choosing more traditional styles in materials such as cast iron and marble. Simply Dutch, which is based just off the A1 at Leeming Bar, stocks a range of unusual and antique furniture for both inside the home and the garden. Current ranges include patio sets, benches, garden tents, water features and garden ornaments. However the most popular item in recent weeks has been the range of garden pavilions. Jason Hadlow, owner of Simply Dutch, explained: “The pavilions that we sell are made of cast iron or marble and are a dramatic addition to a garden. Many people living in large, country houses have told us that adding a pavilion has helped increase the value of their home as it is such a unique feature. “However we are seeing, across the board, that people seem to be returning to the traditional style of garden furniture as our antique patio sets and benches are proving very popular at the moment.” For more details visit www.simplydutch.co.uk |
